THE SHATTERED PLAINS are a thousand-plateau battlefield in eastern Alethkar — a great stone shield broken into mesas by something nobody quite explained, where chasms run hundreds of feet deep and Alethi armies cross by bridge crew to fight Parshendi for gemhearts. The highstorms reshape the field every few weeks. Bridge Four runs a different route every assault. The geometry never settles.
Rendered in a minimalist, vintage-inspired travel-poster style, this piece captures the great stone plateaus separated by deep chasms, a highstorm rolling in from the east, lightning forking above the dark horizon. Stone slate, chasm shadow, storm violet. A tribute to a battlefield where the terrain is also the weapon.
