WAYFARERS CHAPEL on the Palos Verdes coast is the "Glass Church" — Lloyd Wright's 1951 modernist masterpiece for the Swedenborgian community, a tree-of-life vaulted hall in glass, redwood, and local stone, looking out to the Pacific. The chapel hosted some of the most photographed weddings on the West Coast for seventy years. In 2024 the structure was dismantled to escape an active landslide and is being rebuilt inland.
