HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK is the oldest federally protected land in the United States — Andrew Jackson signed it as a reservation in 1832, four decades before Yellowstone was even discussed. Forty-seven thermal springs flow at an average of 143°F out of the same Ouachita rock that the spas were built on. Bathhouse Row downtown still serves the water. The water is still the same.
Rendered in a minimalist, vintage-inspired travel-poster style, this piece captures the elegant tile-roofed bathhouses of the historic row, steam rising from a fountain at the edge, wooded Ouachita slopes behind. Cream stone, terracotta tile, forest green. A tribute to the park that was a spa first.
